Albert Ramos won his first ATP title at Bastad 2016. 


After a great season on clay Albert Ramos finally got his first ATP trophy after winning 6-3 6-4 against Fernando Verdasco.


2016 in being a great year for Albert Ramos so far. He did a great tournament at Roland Garros, reaching for first time quarterfinals. In Roland Garros he beat one top 10, Milos Raonic in three straight sets. For the first time he succeeded in reaching the third round of the Wimbledon championships losing in four sets against Richard Gasquet (ATP highest ranking 7).


After the grass season Ramos played two more tournament on clay. The first tournament was in Bastad, where he won his first ATP title. On his way to the trophy he beat Roberto Carballes 7-6 (5) 6-3, Andrea Arnaboldi 5-7 7-5 6-0, in semifinals he won David Ferrer (ATP highest ranking 3) 7-5 6-4. The final was against Fernando Verdasco (highest ranking 7) which he won 6-3 6-4.  This was a great success for Albert Ramos and helped him reach his highest ATP ranking 31. 


He played his the next tournament inSwitzerland (Gstaad) where he reach the quarterfinal.


Albert Ramos has also been selected to represent Spain in the Olympics in Rio the Janeiro. Good luck Ramos!

Leonid Sheyngezikht finishes the season 2015 under the top 10 players ITF under 16. Throughout the season he played a lot of tournaments with his best results being the finals at Barcelona and Portugal as well as the third place at the European Tennis Masters under 16. This week, Leonid, who just recently turned 15 years, plays his last tournament of the year in Russia, Vsevolozhsk.
